In 2007, there were more private military contractors (PMC) in Iraq than non US Allied Forces. These contractors provide necessary services. While a few have come under criticism for good reason, most perform above and beyond contributing to the growing stabilzation of Iraq as a new Democracy. These PMC's are targets for infiltration, and when they are penerated, PsyIntel is called.

The client suspected that their ranks had been compromised. They needed to know the extent of the breach, and the operation had to take place without anyone in the remote office knowing that an investigation was occuring.

PsyIntel developed a compelling strategy that motivated field office personnel to willingly participate in interviews. During these interviews we were able to determine who in the office was the mole, the information already leaked, and the type of information that they were most interested in.

The strategy implemented allowed for the mole to remain in place, but the flow of information to them controlled. Armed with the necessary information, our client was able to not only cease the threat, but over time, roll up the mole and his control agent.

Postscript: During the course of our operation, we also uncovered a secondary breach. An interpreter who, on their own, altered their English interpretation to significantly alter the meaning of what was said to them.

This is a briefing on the major events of the ongoing Natalee Ann Holloway Missing Persons Investigation on the island country of Aruba, which is in the Realm of Kingdom of the Netherlands. A PsyIntel Case Manager was in daily contact with the family. On June 28, "Jug" Twitty, Natalee's step-father on live television invited our participation in the investigation. Within 24 hours, PsyIntel teams were in route to Aruba.

This was a pro bono case that required covert as well as open assets, media coordination, interface with multiple legal jurisdictions including the FBI, hostile local population, corrupt local officials, and organized crime.

Holloway and 124 fellow graduates of Mountain Brook High School, located in an upscale suburb of Birmingham, Alabama, were visiting Aruba on a five-day, unofficial senior class graduation trip. Holloway was last seen leaving the vicinity of Carlos’n Charlie’s, a popular tourist-oriented bar and grill in Oranjestad, at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday, May 30 with Joran van der Sloot, and his two companions, the brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe, in Deepak's car.

Holloway did not arrive for her return flight that day. Her passport, packed luggage, camera, and cellular phone were found in her hotel room. Searches of the island and surrounding waters began almost immediately, but to date have been fruitless.

The PsyIntel Theory of events that need to be ruled out:

  • Natalee was drugged at Carlos'n Charlie's by Person A.
  • Natalee was escorted to the Kalpoe's care with circumspect force at the hand of Deepak. Satish and Juran accompanied them.
  • While in the car, Natalee, used a cell phone she rented on the Island. We cannot disclose the details of this call.
  • Natalee was sexually assaulted by all three men. At some point during the evening, Natalee probably began to aspirate. Natalee had a low tolerance to medications, and avoided even aspirins.
  • At that point, Joran visited/called his father and informed him of Natalee’s condition. Shortly after, Natalee died.
  • After Natalee died, Person B was contacted by either Juran or his father and asked for his help. This individual may have been off Island at the time.
  • A story was created to intentionally implicate Mickey Johns and Abraham Jones, who authorities were familiar with. PsyIntel cleared them of all involvement in this case.
  • Person C was dispatched to take Natalee's body and leave it by the Lighthouse. For reasons known only to him, and likely on his own initiative, he took her body to a boat docked a marina South of the airport. Where the next day, she was taken out and dropped at sea. The vehicles likely involved were a white pickup truck, and a yellow boat. As of 2007, this person has not been questioned by the police.
  • The police investigation was prejudiced. Perhaps because Van der Straten had a personal relationship with the family of one of the prime suspects, Joran van der Sloot.

August 2003, the FDA approved Crestor for its use for cholesterol control. Our client has cause to know how that announcement would affect their intersts.

AstraZeneca (AZN) Chairman, Sir Tom McKillop sat for a mock interview that was posted on their website. For our purposes, we needed to go no further.

As we examined his interview, we noticed that the anxiety level of the interviewer increased before certain questions. Further scrutiny found that Sir McKillop's answers to those questions were complex. Not in content, but in thought and emotion.

From this interview we made the following findings and recommendation:

  • The reasons Sir McKillop provided for the difficult market entry in Asia were inaccurate.
  • AZN losses were not due to the reasons provided in the interview.
  • Finally, and most important, Crestor did not work as McKillop indicated.
  • PsyIntel's Recommendation: If they planned a purchase of AZN, they should divest the next time "Crestor" and "FDA" were mentioned in the same sentence.

Ultimately our recommendation proved to be the wise course of action when the FDA began a review of the mounting research that questioned Crestor's actual effects in various populations.
